Our expectations are high. That’s why we are always looking to hire the brightest and the best! What makes this role exciting? The role of Senior Tax Associate is critical to the success of Solera. In this role, the Senior Tax Associate is responsible for supporting the federal and state tax return preparation process. This will involve working with an outside accounting firm who prepares the returns to make sure the returns are filed accurately and on-time. The Senior Tax Associate is also responsible for preparing the quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations to ensure accurate financial reporting for a large multinational corporation.

Position 80s

  • Reviews and validates financial data provided to the outside accounting firm who prepares the federal and state income tax returns
  • Prepares various calculations to support the income tax returns, as filed
  • Reviews the taxable income calculations provided by the outside accounting firm and works with the firm to resolve any issues with the tax treatment of particular items
  • Prepares the quarterly and year-end income tax provisions and related documentation
  • Prepares uncertain tax position calculations and related documentation
  • Assists with federal and state income tax audits

Position 20s:

  • Researches various tax issues to provide support for tax positions taken
  • Becomes proficient using the tax provision software (OneSource)
  • Assists in reviewing tax packages from foreign subsidiaries
  • Various ad hoc projects, as needed



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
  • CPA required
  • 2-4 years of income tax experience in industry or in public accounting
  • Experience preparing US federal and state income tax returns for multinational corporations
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in complex situations with tight deadlines


  • Experience preparing income tax provisions for multinational corporations
  • Experience auditing income tax accruals while working in public accounting
  • Public Accounting experience, Big Four experience preferred
  • Experience with preparation and review of US reporting for international activity on US Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, and 8865
  • Experience using OneSource tax provision software and Microsoft Office products
