    What You’ll Be Doing

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission.  The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission.  The mission 80’s for this role, are:

    • Interface with customer IT teams and application end user groups pre- and post-sales to provide guidance, expertise and knowledge transfer concerning all aspects of use and integration of the applications into their existing business.
    • Assist product development in debugging and modification of software, prior and post release.
    • Consult with programmers, database developers, IT & software engineers and financial system specialists in resolution of problems.
    • Provide level 3 backup support for customer support and install teams.
    • Assist with customer service issues and answer customer questions.

    Qualifications

    Are You Qualified?

    This individual will have strong organizational, training and customer service skills. Minimum 3-5 years’ customer service and/or installation & training background with automotive shop management systems. The candidate will have experience working in a customer service environment supporting PC based software and platforms. The desired candidate will have performed software downloads and PC configuring via remote access with various industry standard tools. Experience with automotive shop management systems, customer data record conversions and basic accounting systems is required.  Product knowledge of the Navex shop management system is required. Knowledge of inventory management systems and point of sale equipment is required. The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:

    • A strong understanding of automotive shop management software or similar point-of-sale business software.
    • A background in support or training end users on automotive shop management system software.
    • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with other parts of the business.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across a broad spectrum of end users.
    • Strong experience in operations of operating systems developed by Microsoft such as Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10.  
    • Ability to diagnose & address application issues
    • Complex problem solving

     

    Professional Qualifications

    • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Working knowledge of software download tools, desktop sharing technologies and other remote application software applications.
    • Experience supporting commercial programs written in C# and C++ and working knowledge of Linux/Window OS.
    • Must be a well-organized with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
    • Must be able to install & configuring databases including patching & upgrades, perform incident/request activities and troubleshooting.
    • Must be able to take on-call rotations as needed.
    • Occasionally travel required for company training sessions, client meetings and installations

     

     

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
